Are transfers included?

Transfers are not included from our arrival airport (MEX) to the starting point of our trip. A transfer is provided from our final destination to the MEX airport with limitations—your flight on our departure day must depart at 2pm or later. Otherwise, it is your responsibility to organize a taxi, which we recommend doing at least 5 days ahead of your departure (see the Departure from Mexico City in our Travel & Logistics section).

What if I have special dietary needs?

Traveling with dietary restrictions or allergies can be a challenge, but we’re here to help. Prior to your departure, we’ll send you a questionnaire where you can inform us of any special dietary needs you have. Depending on the information you give us, we will work with our in-country partners to adjust menus and be aware of allergies and restrictions on the trip.


What about supplements if I am traveling solo?

Accommodation pricing is based on double occupancy (two adults per room). This can mean two guests traveling together, or two solo travelers of the same gender paired as roommates. When occupancy is not double, a room becomes "single," which results in a single supplement charge to account for the difference in price. If you are willing to share a room, we will do our best to pair you with another solo guest of the same gender. If we are unable to pair you with another solo guest, or if you would like your own room, you will need to pay the single supplement fee of $1,000.

Who is this trip appropriate for?

The majority of this adventure requires an easy to moderate amount of active participation, with light walking over short distances, occasionally over uneven surfaces. It may be required to climb some stairs to reach activity destinations or other locations. Although individual activities themselves are not heavily active or strenuous, some activities or locations may present challenges to persons with special needs or physical limitations. Neither Modern Adventure nor any of its suppliers may physically lift or assist travelers onto transportation or on daily activities. If you have questions or concerns about particular activities or trip aspects, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

What is the cancellation policy?

You may cancel on or before February 4, 2021 and receive a full refund minus a $500 per-person service fee. If you cancel on or after February 5, 2021 there is a 50% cancellation fee. If you cancel on or after April 5, 2021 there is a 100% cancellation fee. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance as we are not able to make exceptions to this policy in cases of family/medical emergency or of the trip being canceled for unforeseeable reasons (see our Terms and Conditions for full details).

Please note that for guests who are transferring trips or traveling on rescheduled trip dates, your cancelation terms will vary from the above, and are generally non-refundable. Please refer to your correspondence from our Customer Experience team for specific details.
